Objects have stories. They are witnesses to our lives, holding the echoes of people, events, and places that have shaped us. In this collection, I explore the quiet, powerful resonance of these everyday markers—the humble vessels of memory that tether us to moments, both fleeting and monumental.

Through still life paintings of aged China, silver, delicate glassware, and contemporary pottery and ceramics, I invite viewers to reflect on the emotional weight these objects carry. Each piece is more than an arrangement of items; it is a portrait of connection—a tribute to the relationships, celebrations, and spaces that define our humanity. The chipped edge of a bowl, the faded pattern of a teacup, or the curve of a jug becomes a visual metaphor for the fragile yet enduring nature of memory.

This body of work evolved from a deep appreciation for the objects left behind by my own loved ones and the stories they tell. They are placeholders for absence, physical stand-ins for intangible experiences. My intent is not to preserve these memories in a static way but to reanimate them, to spark personal reflection and remind us of the richness embedded in the seemingly ordinary.
