Artist Statement:
A small band of free-living children found a rocky outcrop far out on the desert plain. Here, an old Shepherd’s tree stood, barely alive, clinging to the granite boulders, lizards and beetles called it home. The children anchored their make-believe vessel, tied a shirt to the tree and declared it a newfound homeland.
