JOURNEY then and now “Thinking about my entire Art journey which is now approaching it’s 17th year the constants for me has been the two basics of ‘Colour and Shape’ which have alternated more that I’d originally thought prior to this request of providing current examples of my ‘early’ and ‘of late’ Artistic Journey What I have learnt is that the professional instruction of ‘Colour Usage and Theory’ I went through early has no doubt held me up well with what I wanted to achieve artistically through-out this time period and has been a constant but the shape has changed from a ‘Zonal Colour-Field’ shape in the early days to a ‘Mark-Marker Expressionist’ shape in what I paint now No doubt what is happening around me now affects the shape that I deliver in my art pieces at this point, while the colour stays true to it’s soul that I’d always planned for it” - Rob Forlani 2021
