Her gallery collections range from large-scale gestural abstracts to intricate portraits and sculptural installations, reflecting her evolving artistic journey.

Biography:

Julia Freiseisen is an emerging Austrian-born multidisciplinary artist based in Perth, Western Australia. Her artistic practice blends abstract painting, traditional oil portraiture, and sculptural forms—ranging from hand-built ceramics to large- scale public installations. Her creative journey is rooted in her formative training in interior design and fine art, enriched by workshops and mentorships across Europe and Australia.

Julia’s process is intuitive and meditative, allowing works to form organically as expressions of internal emotion, subtle energies, and the interplays of colour, form, and space. She invites viewers to engage deeply, suggesting that understanding comes from reading a painting as much as observing it.

Freiseisen has exhibited prolifically in Western Australia, both in solo and group exhibitions, and her works are held in public and corporate collections including Parmelia House, NOMA Residences, and Little Rhino Designs. Her public artworks include murals and aluminium sculptures commissioned by ARUP and Aurecon in Perth.
