Sandy Tippett

I was born in Tanganyika, East Africa, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro - it is true what they say, your heart stays in Africa. We came to Australia when I was 12 years old.

My background was graphic design but as the years passed the desire to paint freely became stronger. For the past 20 years I have painted as I wish, continuously exploring and discovering many new things.

My love of our North West landscape is my biggest inspiration… it is like being back in Africa (minus Kilimanjaro and the animals). The rugged landscape, beautiful pindan colours and aqua ocean all connect with my soul.

For the past ten years plus, I enjoyed my position as a gallery director, developing a wonderful relationship with artists and collectors. Now, in semi retirement, I have the opportunity to return to my painting and absorb myself once again into the joy of creating.
